Shay loves giving Bora treats. The pictures are blurry, but you can get the idea.

Here Shay is getting the treat from our MESSY pantry.

Bora is definitely grateful!

I wish I had pictures to go along with this post. Shay has been a huge help around the house lately. For example, yesterday I was packing up the linen closet. I was putting all the towels in a box. Shay caught on to what I was doing. He immediately went to the closet and brought me a towel. I said thank you and put it in the box. He then continued to do this until the towels were all in the box!
Later in the day Ellie wasn’t feeling so well (we are taking her to the doctor later this morning). She was upset. Shay didn’t like the fact that his friend was crying. He disappeared into the bonus room. When he came back he had a rattle in his hands. He gently gave it to Ellie to try to calm her down. How sweet! I just about melted right there. He is really going to miss having Ellie around all the time. It’s so cute watching them light up when the other enters a room.
I absolutely love it that Shay is learning how things work. Our next step is to get him to learn to not get near the dog bowls. Honestly, I think I had to drag him away from there 20 times yesterday!
Shay is growing up so fast. It has been so much fun to watch him learn new things. Today he learned how to put his stacking blocks back on the ring. That sounds so small, but to me it was huge. I’m used to him taking all the blocks off and then he’s done with that toy on and to the next. He was so proud today when he figured out how to put them back on!

Shay’s new thing is pointing.

He also learned how to get in and out of his rocking chair yesterday. He was definitely proud of himself.

We tried to play with his new sprinkler. I think he’s still a little young for that one

There are several no-no’s in this picture!
