God is so faithful. I was reminded of that this morning when I watched this video. Whatever you are going through…God is with you.

This past Saturday we were able to go down to Pat’s uncles house for dinner. Mimi and Pops celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They really are an amazing couple. It was great seeing the Gillens for a night.
Shay enjoyed some QT with Big Dog and Stephen.
Shay was flying around with Teddy in his new aviator jacket!
We had a great Halloween. Jen and John had us over for some AMAZING chili and chicken noodle soup. Seriously…it was delicious. Then we took the kids trick or treating. Really we just showed them off, but it was fun none the less.
Here is out toothless puppy!
I can’t believe that we didn’t get any pictures of Ellie. She was the most adorable purple fairy I had ever seen.
Thanks Jen and John for having us over!
Every time Shay starts getting fussy or acts a little different than normal, I immediately say that he is teething. It has been months of “teething” without any teeth. I guess I would like to think that Shay is perfect. I think many parents do this. I see it often in parents of my middle school students. Some parents can’t even imagine that their son or daughter would ever do anything wrong.
Pat and I are blessed to have a wonderful son. He really does love life and loves people. I pray that Pat and I will be parents that show Shay how to be a wise man. I want him to be a boy and eventually a man that walks with the Lord.
And by the way, I really do think he is going to get a tooth soon
I am so relaxed. For my birthday last December, the girls gave me a gift card to Lulu’s a Day Spa with the intention that I would get a pregnancy massage once my back started hurting. Well, my back never did hurt too bad with my pregnancy. The wonderful gift just sat in my wallet.
A few days ago, Pat suggested that I use the card and go pamper myself while he watched Shay AND Ellie. I didn’t think twice. I set up the appointment for today and went to get a facial. I’ve never gotten a facial before. It was quite the treat. The whole experience was delightful. I was incredibly relaxed.
Pat did a great job watching the kids. Pat definitely demonstrated his love for me today. Thanks Pat! Also, thanks girls for the wonderful b-day present!
I love Pat for so many different reasons. Most of them are the big reasons like, he loves our family, or he provides for us, or that he reflects the character of God. I wanted to list some random reasons I love Pat.
1. He records the shows that I want to watch, and I don’t have to even ask about it (sometimes he even records shows that he thinks I want to watch).
2. He always lugs the huge trash can up to the street on trash day (and takes care of the trash throughout the week)
3. He loves people.
4. He knows random facts like, which movie did Jack Black, Ben Stiller, and Kevin Kline star in?
5. He always takes care of Bora (except in the am). Pat always gives her medicine, feeds her, plays with her, etc.
6. He likes to think outside of the box.
7. He loves to get the mail with Bora.
8. He makes Shay light up with excitement whenever he walks into a room.
9. He takes care of my car.
10. Once he puts his mind to a task, he gets it done.
I warned you before you read, that these are totally random. I love my husband; not just for the big things, but the small, random ones too.
I love fall. It is probably my favorite season. I love the crisp air, the beautiful colors, and the smells that are associated with fall. This morning the family went outside to enjoy the weather. It’s hard to stay indoors when it’s so beautiful outside!
What an awesome smile. He totally looks like a Gillen here.
He got excited when Pat came out to play.
